SimplyHelp established seven schools in rural areas in the Jiangxi province, one school in the Huizhou province and one school in the Sichuan province. The seven schools in Jiangxi were initiated by SimplyHelp’s volunteer Theresa Chiang and enabled with the help of three parties: SimplyHelp, the national government and the state government each paid a third of the cost. The schools were built in 2003 are benefitting over 1050 students each year.
Why Is It Needed? China is a large country with great disparities in living conditions among its people. There are many regions that are largely neglected and untouched by China's economic rise, highlighting the widening gap between prosperous urban dwellers and struggling rural people.The SimplyHelp Foundation assists in poverty alleviation in Chinese rural areas and minority regions like Tibet.
Future Activities The SimplyHelp Foundation will continue to provide monetary and material support to both schools. |

What Is The Project? This school is located in a remote area and provides education to a Chinese minority population. The Simply Help Foundation provides sustains the school which houses 150 students, 4 teachers and 1 cook.
