2021 4/29 Simplyhelp Domestic Homeless Program

Nobody Plans to Be Homeless – In Los Angeles County, there are over 16,500 people living in their vehicles each night. These vehicle dwellers represent over 25% of the population of people experiencing homelessness in LA County.

Part 3: SimplyHelp continues to care for homeless at Safe Parking. We had an opportunity to visited 5 Safe Parking locations, and were able to provide power banks, KN95 masks, masks, flash lights, snacks, hygiene items, toiletry, socks…etc for the clients.

Safe Parking refers to a night-time program for people who are experiencing homelessness and sleeping in their vehicles at night, providing a safe and stable place to park the vehicle, remain compliant with local laws, and have access to restroom facilities.

Programs can help provide financial assistance services like smog check, auto repair, insurance, registration, driver’s license renewal, and move in assistance.
