Relief Work

Earthquake 2010
On January 12, 2010, a day that will live in infamy, Haiti experienced a catastrophic magnitude 7.0 earthquake that resulted in devastating, unimaginable destruction and loss of life. In response, SimplyHelp sent a full container of supplies to assist in the relief effort.

Together with JCUAA and the Ambassador of Haiti to the United Nations, SimplyHelp was able to determine the most critically-needed supplies, and ship them to Haiti. Baby products, tents, blankets, food, medical supplies and clothing were received joyously by the Haitians.

Tropical Storm Noel 2007

In November 2007, Tropical Storm Noel brought about severe flooding in southern, southwestern, and western parts of Haiti. The rains and associated flooding killed 103 people, with 20 others reported missing, and affected more than 25,000 families.  In addition, the rains and flooding destroyed nearly 3,200 houses and damaged more than 14,000 others.

The SimplyHelp Foundation was an active player in the disaster relief efforts following Tropical Storm Noel, which hit Haiti in November 2007. SimplyHelp volunteers collected various donations and necessary supplies and sent a full container to Haiti for distribution.
