SimplyHelp Distributes Clothing In Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA—As part of the foundation’s efforts to help many families stuck in the ongoing economic recession, SimplyHelp is bringing necessities to those living domestically in L.A. The SimplyHelp Foundation will distribute clothing and toys to 2,000 low-income persons living in south central Los Angeles at a community fair on November 29, 2010 from 10am-2pm.

SimplyHelp will bring donated clothing items and distribute these alongside elected officials, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Councilwoman Jan Perry, to get community members excited for a new work source center this holiday season.

The grand opening of the south central community work source center will be filled with fun festivities and free food for families while distributing basic clothing donations and health services, including HIV testing, cholesterol screening, legal services, and more. SimplyHelp is working with Chicans Service Action Center, Los Angeles Community Development Department, Work Source California, and City of Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board to help bring joy to the community in south central L.A. to celebrate during this holiday season.

SimplyHelp is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering those living in poverty by providing donations, job skill training, homes for homeless elderly, and disaster relief in 22 countries around the world.
