Senior Centers

2026 2/6 El Salvador Trip3

The manager of the third nursing home is a young man. He installed nine security cameras at each stairwell to monitor the safety of the elderly. And this nursing home, which I was most concerned about, was actually the cleanest. Several NGOs donated water towers and new roofs, which is really great!

This nursing home has the most elderly people with dementia, so there are many volunteers feeding them.

Yesterday, we distributed supplies the Ruihua senior Center and were very pleased to see that someone had donated a new water tower, and that each nursing home had a medical room, ensuring the elderly were receiving excellent care. We also distributed supplies to neighbors in need.

This morning we went to El Salvador to deliver a shipment of supplies that arrived last month. We partnered with Food for the Poor and the Salvadoran International Food Bank (FUSAL) to distribute the supplies to indigenous communities in the mountains. In addition to distributing clothing to children, we also bought some locally grown food. Everyone was very happy.

Today, a woman from Salvador donated mattresses to Ruihua senior center, replacing all the mattresses for the elderly residents.
This woman is a relative of the president. So far, 27 beds have been donated from the president’s family, bringing the total to 32.
Furthermore, this morning a medical team from the United States visited the Ruihua senior center for a free clinic.

The earth-break wall of our senior center in El Salvador was finally completed today. The upper cement wall was built by volunteers, and the lower earth-break wall was completed by engineers from the municipal government. Only one mangrove was left. From the opposite side, it was a very large project. Thanks to everyone’s support, we finally see the results today.
